Chirokinetic Therapy (CKT)
Chirokinetic Therapy (CKT)
Chirokinetic Therapy (CKT) is a form of muscle testing which tests for problem areas in the body. This is invaluable as each individual person will have their own way to express their illness and not all of the information can be communicated verbally. CKT works by identifying and restoring communication breakdowns in your body's energy systems, accelerating the healing process and helping to
prevent future illness.
Almost any symptom, be it mind, body or spirit in nature, can benefit from CKT. Physical symptoms such as back and joint pain respond well to CKT, also immune system imbalances such as allergies, eczema, asthma, rhinitis and a host of other diseases can be markedly improved following treatment.
Hormonal imbalances found during treatment are of particular importance in CKT. Also neurotransmitters such as adrenalin, serotonin and dopamine, which are often implicated in depressive states, phobias and anxiety. By supporting the body's innate ability to heal, CKT can often enhance the benefit of other therapies.

What happens during CKT treatment?
What happens during CKT treatment?
CKT practitioners aim to provide a relaxed and informal atmosphere. In all cases it is the underlying or prime cause which CKT aims to locate and address.
The treatment itself is very straightforward. Testing may include checking for allergies and nutritional deficiencies, digestive and eliminative processes and also the hormonal, structural and emotional systems. There is no limit to what can be tested. The aim is to build up a clear picture of the problems that the body considers a priority. The practitioner uses the patient's arm to test strength and resistance.
Once the testing is complete a treatment is given and you are then left to rest for 5 minutes. After your response time, you will then be retested to ensure that the treatment has been successful. On subsequent visits, the procedure is very similar, although less time is necessary as the testing procedure is not as lengthy. During each time you visit your practitioner will test to establish the length of time required between visits or indeed if any further treatment is necessary.

What can I expect after treatment?
What can I expect after treatment?
As chronic illness is a form of suppression in the body as described above, the process of becoming healthy involves release and unsuppression, hence there can be a short-term worsening of symptoms or a brief return of old symptoms. As this is part of a healing process the symptoms are usually brief and less intense than when you had them before. This may happen after both homeopathy and CKT. These symptoms are not side effects but an effect of your body clearing harmful toxins, emotions and previously suppressed illnesses.
